Why We Started
cloudSense began with a simple frustration shared by our founder, Jessie Sense, while working in the beauty industry: the products on shelves asked women to become something — more polished, more flawless, more "on." But no one was asking what they actually wanted to feel like.
After years of sensitive-skin reactions to heavily fragranced makeup and harsh body-care formulas, Jessie Sense set out to build something different: a brand that treats skin and body the way the outdoors treats you — gently, honestly, without asking you to perform.
That's how cloudSense got its name. Cloud for the weightless feel we chase in every formula. Sense for the quiet, intentional beauty we believe in — beauty you can feel, not just see.
What We Believe
We don't think beauty should be a mask. We think it should be a breath.
From cream blushes that melt into skin, to feather-light foundations, to gentle body-hair removal creams that respect your skin barrier — every cloudSense product is built on three principles:
- Plant-first, never aggressive. Botanicals lead the ingredient list. We skip the harsh sulfates, the synthetic fragrances, and the formulas that leave skin tight or stinging.
- Whole-body beauty, not just face. Beauty isn't confined to your jawline. It's your shoulders, your legs, your underarms — the parts of you that move through the world. We make products for all of you.
- Less, but better. We'd rather make 12 products people actually use every day than 50 they forget about.
Our Commitment
We're honest about where we are and where we're going.
- Cruelty-free. No animal testing, ever — on finished products or ingredients. (Currently working toward [Leaping Bunny / PETA] certification; expected Dec 2026.)
- Recyclable packaging. Our primary packaging is designed to be recyclable; we're actively reducing plastic content and moving toward [PCR / aluminum / refill] formats.
- One tree planted per order, with [Partner Organization]. We don't just say it — every order generates a planting receipt you can track.
